Memorial Blood Center offers online appointment scheduling. Please use the link: http://www.mbc.org/Home (opens in new window), click on the "Schedule Now" button in the green "Donate" section, search by sponsor code and enter 9520. Click on the event date to register. (You can also call or e-mail the Property Management Office (952-847-2400) if you need assistance scheduling a time slot.)

Memorial Blood Center would also like to push for the use of their new online interview procedure called iDonate. On the day of the blood drive, donors can answer the Health History Questions online in the convenience of their office or home. They need to print the receipt at the end of the questionnaire and present it to the Memorial Blood Center staff. We’ve attached a helpful step-by-step guide for iDonate. This new online interview procedure will greatly speed up the donation time by reducing backups and ensuring a smooth donation process.

The following is some information you can pass along regarding blood donation.

What to expect

The collection of a unit, about one pint, of blood takes about 10 minutes (your total invested time may total an 45 minutes to one hour). After your donation, you can enjoy some refreshments (cookies anyone?!) to replenish your fluids. You are then able to resume daily activities. Eat a full meal at least six hours before donating. Drink fluids before and after donating and know that you have saved someone’s life.

Bring ID - Eat Before Donating - No Cold or Flu Symptoms for 3 Days

Wondering if you are eligible to donate?

You may be surprised to know that only 40% of the population is eligible to donate (that is why the need is so high).
